1980's Amel in San Diego?

Hello,

I'm considering purchase of a 1980's vintage Amel Sharki.

Although I've read a lot about these boats, I've never been onboard.

Does anyone in San Diego have a 1980's Amel they would be willing to let me take a look at? Or possibly crew on for a day?

I'm an experienced coaster cruiser, considering my first purchase.

Thank You!

John

How tall are you?

I'm 6' and could not stand upright in the aft cabin. Was very disappointing as the Sharki was otherwise the perfect boat for me, but couldn't get over that I'd have to be bent over. There is better headroom in the saloon and forward cabin.

I rejected an otherwise perfect boat for the same reason. I have to be able to stand upright in my own boat!! Someone else's, maybe not, but mine has to be comfortable. That's a deal breaker for me.
