Yeah Dennis Conner thought Kiwi half boats were pretty good - just not as good as a yankee cat.

[Wonders if Conner is the equivalent of Hitler/nazis, a version of Godwin's Law for sailing]

No, wait, that would mean mono hull's lost!

Number ?.....you do not have to worry about having too much lounging space. So you never have to invite the cuties along for a day sail....:-)

It's just a question of posture. Personally, I prefer company at the helm (cockpit, if you prefer) rather than forward of the mast.

DC and the supposed mighty US sailing establishment knew full well how good NZ monos are, so had to sneakily turn up to a knife fight with a M1A1 battle tank to avoid an outright and highly embarrassing arse kicking

Start playing fair and lose the training hull and what happened.... Opps, bye bye Am Cup.

So by a somewhat stretched and very dodgy extension to that preamble, can we take from that example that mono sailors are fair and play by the rules where multi sailors ...............

Dave, that cockpit accessory in the photo, does it come singularly or can you buy them in pairs? Before you think that, opps to late... I was thinking one for the bow work and one for the domestic stuff

Well, I think that depends on how much money you have.

180 - On a mono the bowchicks aren't just ballast...

Well said.

BTW, I think I'm in love... If the girl in the brown suit with the gloves is with you, I bow... and so should you. (Checking bank account now... damn...)

And what's more, it's a lot easier for them to open and pass you a beer if they are in the cockpit.

That 'love' or 'lust' you're in Dave

Haha, after reading this thread I can hold my head up high as all them multi's go sailing past

181: Monos don't look like floating Winnebagos (Mac 26's excluded)
182: With a mono you aren't compelled to include the words "cat", "pussy", "twin", "two", "double" or derivatives thereof within the name of your boat.
183: The leeward cockpit seats can be very comfy when inclined at 15 degrees.

Number something: Figureheads are still politically correct on monos - as evidenced above
