I sincerely apologize if you are offended. This thread has been deep tongue in cheek for a while now. My post was supposed to contain a liberal amount of irony, seeing as I own a mono.

153: Monohulls have a "homing instinct": in an emergency a mono will automatically head directly for the nearest land.

(Unfortunately the nearest land is usually the bottom)

It's very easy to stop it. Just add a training hull or if it really freaks you, add 2

I had a training hull for a couple of years but now I've learnt to sail properly I only need to use one hull these days
