I sincerely apologize if you are offended. This thread has been deep tongue in cheek for a while now. My post was supposed to contain a liberal amount of irony, seeing as I own a mono.

I also added - LOL which is the usual sign of "Don't take this seriously"

Cheers!

153: Monohulls have a "homing instinct": in an emergency a mono will automatically head directly for the nearest land.

(Unfortunately the nearest land is usually the bottom)

154: Chuck Norris would NEVER sail a multi.

Actually, if we could just get Chuck to the Gulf of Aden...

155: When you're heeled over too much and fall overboard, odds are the boats sailing slow enough you can easily swim back to it.

156: when you go aground it's so wonderful being the center of attention at 45 degrees.

157: small spaces make good transitions for those with criminal pasts (no offense to the Aussies) :P

158: it's far easier to keep a sense of rythm inside a metronome

159: if your not leaving the slip anyway because your one engine won't work, it's nice to pay less for that slip

160: it's really cool blending in with the crowd

161: If you're built like Square Bob Tight Pants it's nice having a boat that's less sensitive to extra weight

163: All the bruises from riding on the rail make great conversation starters at the local tiki bar

164: Who needs daylight in their boat anyway?

165: You always thought that it would be cool to own a submarine

166: they make great boats for those who always wanted to be a pirate just a bit too much. won't say who, but that avatar......

It's very easy to stop it. Just add a training hull or if it really freaks you, add 2

I had a training hull for a couple of years but now I've learnt to sail properly I only need to use one hull these days

168 - You always know where the kids, spouse and guests are: On the freakin' rail like they're supposed to be if they know what's good for them.

I will pass along your observations to Francis Joyon - remember him - he needed two training wheels to sail around the world.

170 - you know that you are using the same design concept as those really big navy boats; all those sealords can't be wrong
