You claimed breaking ice in winter by any ship diminishes the ice while in reality it's the contrary, allowing faster ice formation. Remember it's the arctic, not a glass of scotch

Do you have a dog in this race somehow?

Google for

Arctic "sea ice"

and pick your credible sources, even military and gov agencies headed by climate deniers

And you will find the facts are opposite to what you claim.

Paid PR co shills?

John I pick the most credible source .
One that has been keeping accurate records for centuries and not influenced by current politics. The Dmi.
DMI Modelled ice thickness

And as you should find in their site the volume of arctic sea ice has declined constantly, so whats your problem, poor eyesight or what? (not to insult )

The DMI shows ice thickness significantly below the mean.

Meanwhile:

Though the sun hasnít shone on the central Arctic for more than four months, the region is currently gripped by historic, record-breaking warmth. On Sunday, the temperature at the North Pole rose to about the melting point, and parts of the Arctic were more than 50 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than normal.

the Atlantic ? Come on jack at least use a credible source. But the picture from last august was a nice touch.
Short periods of 50 deg above normal. Below 0 is still below 0
Have any of you actually looked at things like the maunder minimum colder periods. Temperature reconstruction the arctic and Alaska were slightly above normal whereas everywhere else was well below normal just like we are seeing now across north America and a large portion of Europe and Asia. Lets see how the melt doesn't happen .
But I looked today and yes there is a slight leveling off of sea ice volume. In the last few days.

The Atlantic is a hell of a lot more credible than the Daily Caller.

DMI for February 28, which you posted, shows a distinct decline.

The Maunder Minimum occurred in the middle of the Little Ice Age; it could not have caused the LIA.

As well, some science for you:

Quote:
We conclude that winters in which the Thames froze are not at all good indicators of the hemispheric or global mean temperatures, although well-correlated with the lowest temperatures in the local observational record, the CET. The often-quoted result that they were enhanced during the solar Maunder minimum is false.

Re: The NorthEAST Passage Over Siberia Norway to the Pacific

For those who wish to check out atmospheric temperatures, surface sea temperatures, sea ice conditions check out:

Climate Reanalyzer

It shows monthly data and is a bit behind right now. But the trends are pretty obvious.

Here is December 31, 2017. The warm Arctic / Siberia and cold North America are astounding.

Nice of you to show the actual temperatures.

Anomalies are the standard used to show how temperatures vary from the mean. Even my local TV meteorologists compare the daily temperature to the average.

What is happening is not normal.
