I wa looking at this above site the other evening and made a grumbling comment bout maybe trying the passage in '17 if we had a couple of competent crew. Someone resembling my Wife in outward appearance said she might be up for it if she had a little more offshore experience first. Or, perhaps, it was my Wife, and she needs my life insurance money, for the shock nearly did me in!

Seems like an easy request - term insurance is very reasonable... lol

BTW - your "wife" doesn't need more offshore experience... she will get plenty during the four month passage... Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, Chukchi Sea, Beaufort Sea, Baffin Bay, Davis Strait, Greenland, Labrador, Newfoundland... you get the idea... watch the weather closely... but don't think another year of sailing will any better prepare you than you already are...
