Lest anyone be confused about how the 1922 summer sea ice extent compares to recent summer sea ice extent, let us look at this recently-posted reconstruction of summer Arctic sea ice extent.

The y-axis units are in millions of square kilometers
As can be seen, sea ice extent for 1922 appears to be greater than 8 million km^2, whereas sea ice extent in the last decade has decayed to below 7 million km^2.

Any way you look at it, summer or winter, Arctic temperatures are rapidly increasing, and Arctic sea ice is diminishing.
I posted this before but here goes again
Btw this chart is before mann made global warming

here it is from 10 years ago
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2008/03/...icebergs-melt/

And from snopes
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/warm-welcome/

( just so you know it was fact checked.)
arctic weather and ice is cyclic in nature
Read the last paragraph in the Snopes article.

It links to a study that concludes:

Quote:
It is clear that summer temperatures are rising faster than winter temperatures
are rising, but again that 1922 was a purely LOCAL event in Spitzbergen, not a
REGIONAL one.

your graph clearly shows mann made gw.
tree rings don't tell temperatures they show rainfall .and most of Mann's data as far as anyone can ascertain came from the American desert southwest.
( nobody is sure because he refuses to release his data for peer review.)

I hope you don't actually believe the ipcc is about saving the environment. Because its not.

What about now in the Arctic ?
Arctic Sea Ice News and Analysis | Sea ice data updated daily with one-day lag

Quote:
As temperatures at the North Pole approached the melting point at the end of February, Arctic sea ice extent tracked at record low levels for this time of year. Extent was low on both the Atlantic and Pacific sides of the Arctic, with open water areas expanding rapidly in the Bering Sea during the latter half of the month. On the other side of the globe, Antarctic sea ice has reached its minimum extent for the year, the second lowest in the satellite record.

If you notice there is once again a marked uptick in the volumes. Of sea ice.
( area without volume has little true meaning.) you need both to get the full picture.)

right now at 1249 UTC it is -31℃ at the north pole .

That statement is out of context and quote mined. Rather than using a contextomy, go read the entire interview.

That is a slight uptick.

At 1 SD below the mean, 84.2% of the volume reports for this date are higher.

it is a significant amount of ice volume above several previous years ( any noticeable increase is significant. )

with only 14 years to look at here and there are at least 2 years lower which means that there are 28.6% below and 71.4% above

You may wish to understand standard deviations.

if using deviation calculations instead of hard numbers helps you sleep at night that's fine with me . The facts are that this year is above 2 of the last 14 years. I consider that significant and headed in the right direction.

The long term trend is not the right direction.
