i value your judgement,track record and experince highly,just playing the devils advocate here

quite possible the guy has "gone bush" and preys on gullible people to fund his adventure,he would not be the first

My bad... the present boat is not 60'.... is 50' foot steel schooner....

I have just received this from someone who was aboard the boat yesterday.....

'The boat could be really beautiful for such a trip but he is not taking care of the outside and inside looking.
The inside was pretty much as clean as you were describing in his other boat.'
