Trip to the Caribbean early 2020.

Hello!

My name is Rob and I'm 27 years old. I'm looking for one crew member for my travels. I am also logging miles to contribute to my Captain's licence.

I own a 40 foot Ketch rigged sailboat (Hughes H-40 model from 1978 in good condition) and am looking for a crew member for the next few months. I am currently stationed in Annapolis, Maryland for a refit and maintenance break. I need crew to help me sail the boat to the Caribbean. I am looking to leave for the Caribbean around early January and looking to arrive in early February.

I am willing to negotiate monthly wage as well as provide food and sleeping arrangements (the boat has 2 separate state-rooms).

Please feel free to reply to this posting for more information or to arrange an interview (to be conducted over Skype or similar program).

Thanks!

This sounds like just what I’m looking for
I’m 57 year male in good shape.
My latest experience had been a few years ago
In April 2013 myself and the captain sailed his 51’ ketch from Oahu to Saipan
The auto pilot broke down on day 3 so it was him or I at the wheel Until we landed
We sailed as direct a line as possible and made land in exactly 30 days
It was not a trade route and as such we never saw another vessel the entire journey
Gilbert

Hope to hear from you

Rob,

I am interested in sailing with you. I am 36 and live near DC. I am looking to gain some experience. I can do an in person interview if you are still looking for crew.

Re: Trip to the Caribbean early 2020.

Hi Rob,
I'm a 40 year old female with about 12 years of sailing experience. I have raced boats from 420's to 65' in CA, TX, VA, and ME. I lived on my 1978 Catalina 30' for about 3 years until she fell into disrepair while I was away last winter. I took a captain's course about 2 years ago, but did not take the exams, so I have the knowledge and experience, and am also logging my sea time for my 6 pack. I've been wanting to cruise to the Caribbean for the last few years, but have been stopped by a series of life events. I think this sounds like it could be a good fit, and would love to meet up with you if possible. I will be travelling through the Baltimore area in the next week or 2 visiting family. If you are interested and we could arrange something, that would be great!
I look forward to hearing from you if you are interested.
