Seattle and British Columbia Cruising

CREW WANTED!

Long time cruising couple (Past Commodore, Seattle Yacht Club) aboard 46' ketch looking for crew who would like to experience Puget Sound and British Columbia waters. Extensive experience is not necessary. Cruising plans are not yet set in stone but we tentatively plan to do a number of short "South Sound" trips in May and June and then be out from mid-June to mid-September, 2017.

Requirements:
You should ...
- have a current passport
- recognize that you're doing a job, even if it sometimes feels as though you're on holiday
- have a desire to learn coastal navigation, sail/boat handling and general maintenance
- be okay with living in a fairly small cabin
- like working with your hands
- have a passion for providing good service
- speak English
- be able to accept rules on board and follow the captain's orders
- be fun to work with
- be flexible, willing to pitch in on anything that needs doing (ie. boat washing, trips to the store, helping in the galley or anything else "for the good of the voyage"), and expect to work odd hours

Pay is negotiable.

Please contact me to discuss.

Hello Jack, I would consider it a privilege to sail with someone as knowledgable of Puget Sound as you sound to be (sorry, the pun seemed unavoidable). I'm relocating nearby, but probably not for long enough - from December through probably only February (unless the job extends, of course). Do you expect to go out at all during the colder months? I'm pretty comfortable in rough weather (w/ ASA105 & RYA Coastal Skipper credentials), but that all hinges on your inclination to go out when it's colder.
In any case, Cheers and happy sailing.
