Seas the day- Crew Available- Single Female
Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and happy to see such a supportive community. I'm in search of a crewing opportunity for July/august/September/October 2017. All or part of the time can work. I am definitely a novice when it comes to sailing but know the basics and have fallen madly in love. I'm looking for someone that is willing to teach me the ropes. I'm intelligent, a quick learner and crazy strong for my size. I don't get sea sickness and can cook/clean/take night watches etc
I'm a free diver (so places to stop and dive are a must!) , massage therapist/physical therapist and love to fish. The plan is to eventually get a boat of my own but I want to feel comfortable on the seas before that move.
Here is my instagram, if you would like to see some pictures

Re: Seas the day- Crew Available- Single Female
Hi Angela,
I'll be cruising from Palau to the Phillipines and then onto Japan June July onboard a 33' steel cruising boat. It's an older boat but very seaworthy. My wife will join me in some locations for a short stay. I can certainly teach you the ropes. I think you would like Palau and the Phillipines. If you can get there a bit earlier I'm travelling through the Great Barrier Reef and PNG as well.
I'm in my mid 40s and have been sailing for more than 20 years though not a lot of blue water cruising. Recently sailed from Brisbane to New Caledonia with some rough weather on the way back.
Let me know if your interested
Cheers
Brent

Re: Seas the day- Crew Available- Single Female
Hi Angela, Great to hear you caught the sailing bug! I'm not sure where you are and what exactly you are looking for, but I plan to sail from NJ to St. Thomas in June, possibly via Bermuda for the America's cup. My family is not keen on off-shore and I will need crew. the plan is a bit up in the air... could be leaving early June, spend a week or two in Bermuda and then go to St. Thomas early July... or leave NJ mid-June hop down the US coast to VA beach/Norfolk area, then head straight to St. Thomas from there. I'm sailing a Tartan 41...
Let me know if you are interested and we can discuss details.
Zach

Best of luck finding crew gigs!
If you decide you might like to have some formal training, come on down to Grenada and sail with us!
Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Angela,
I'm looking for crew, but I'm trying to take off much sooner, as in-ready now. Hawaii to Fiji. Suggest you register with Findacrew as well as Cruiser Forum.
Good luck.

Re: Seas the day- Crew Available- Single Female
Angela, I'm not planning to push away from the dock for any length of time in the next 6 months, but I'm always happy to talk sailing with anybody. If you find yourself in the south west Florida area, or want to do some discussion using email or such, feel free to give my a shout. You can learn all about me and my boat on my websites. Jon

Either Europe, Caribbean or NZ/Australia will be the start
