Crew Wanted: Portland to San Juan and gulf Islands.6 /2/18-7/7/18

This is Ken Snow's Annual trip to the Islands. It will be aboard the S/V Aquilla. A 1998 40' Hunter sailboat with a fully enclosed cockpit. You can take the whole trip or meet the boat up north for part of the trip. (preference will be given to those who stay on longer). There are many ports where you can meet up to get on and off the boat if you cannot do the entire trip. The boat will leave early on Saturday June 2 and motor to Astoria. From there it is a 2 day trip north to Neah Bay. The next day will be a trip to Port Angeles. From there, the exact itinerary will be determined by the collective wishes of the captain, crew and weather, but will include many of the highlights of the islands. Expected return date will be approximately July 7, but will be determined by the crew. Experience is preferred , but not necessary. If this is your first time cruising, however, be forewarned. This is not a Carnival Cruise. Think camping on the water with four or five other people. No drama or high maintenance people. No alcohol on board, but feel free to booze it up on shore. If you have not sailed with Ken before than you will be required to sail a couple of times between now and the trip.
