physically fit (people tell me look younger like 77
Started trip Oriental NC June have crew to round Cape Hatteras otherwise single hand.
Prefer female crew (50 years married and 2 daughters have conditioned me) however Note "prefer"
Mostly short legs, one may be two overnights ?
As I continue North will update location where the boat is.
My add is for strictly SAILING CREW
No romance No soulmates No friendships No adventures, just crew to help SAILING chores, relieve watch on a rotating basis and extra set of eyes when needed
My added list of NO
no smoking nondrinking while boat is under way no drugs no body piercings no visible tattoos (sorry generation Gap)
My boat has been described in details on previous request, under my name Davil,if you cannot find it,let me know will repost.
Either post your response/questions or PM me.
My purpose is to have some names I may contact as needed (believe I have a crew? for NJ to RI leaving end of this month but that could change)

Re: East Coast Sandy Hook NJ to Maine
1987 Cape Dory 30 Mark II
The boat is equipped with AIS, Radar, Chartplotter EPIRB, Personal AIS beacon, Marine Radio, Garmin InReach Explorer and liferaft.
Because has Nature'head composting head I ask you to read its use as requires some different "techniques" if you are a woman or a man, some links I found but please read them, I know some people like them others not, and this is a "deal breaker".
Please contact me via PM with all your questions, about boat, equipment, watch schedule and what you consider important regarding safety, duties, etc, and personal info(regarding the sailing experience), and that includes requesting info about me.

What about adolescents?
I have many sea going friends in New Bedford who might be able to help you up to Maine and back. I’m in Oregon, but available for internet consulting for transiting Buzzards Bay to Maine.

Re: East Coast Sandy Hook NJ to Maine
Hello, how soon are you looking to leave and roughly when do you anticipate finishing? Where in Maine do you expect to end up?
I might be interested. I am currently not in NYC as my mother had her hip replaced and I am am taking care of her while she heals. I may be able to get away if I can find some home aides while I am gone. I would need a couple of weeks to line things up.
I am 56 and have been sailing on quite a few different vessels. I was the first mate on a 70ft schooner from 1902 for three years and own three sloops myself. I have delivered a few boats and been through a bit of heavy weather.
If the times line up I am interested. Regardless, I wish you a good trip!

If you're ugly you will have to take the night shift! Either that or wear a face mask.

Re: East Coast Sandy Hook NJ to Maine
Hello Davil-
I saw you posting on the Cruisers Forum. Your NO's are not a problem...
I just completed a 10 day, 400 nm sail out of the Boston Sailing Center and got back on 7/22/19 in Gloucester Harbor.
I have had a several Boston Sailing Center (BSC) memberships over the years. I have sailed with cruising members and done 5 one week plus cruises, to Maine, Buzzard’s Bay, and three in the FL Gulf. Last summer I was a day sailing crew member with a 40 foot membership. At the end of the season he invited me to join him on a 2 week cruise put together with another 40 foot member to Boothbay, Maine. This was on a 40 foot Hanse from Hyannis to Boothbay and on down the coat back to Boston.
The longest sail I have done was from Sarasota to the Dry Tortugas (Fort Jefferson) and back 586 nm. It was on a 38 foot C&C and we had 40 knots of wind and some seas.
This winter I took the 5 week navigation course and plan to sit for the ASA 105 Coastal Navigation test.
Currently self-employed, I live and work locally in the Boston’s Back Bay. This consists of self scheduled IT work. The BSC has helped me grow a love for sailing. If you think you can use me I am interested in being good crew for your sail North.
References available upon request.
Please advise.
Thank you,
Jim
