So its the middle of January and thoughts are turning to the year ahead and possible new cruising grounds..
USA/Caribe.. Fancy the summer in the Med.. get your boat sorted for a West - East early Spring crossing and you could be flying into Gibraltar to pick her up and be sailing the Spanish Costa's, Balearics and points East..

Well.. seeing as its less than 20nm across to France, very expensive..
Return flight from Lisbon to London, Gatwick.. Open return train ticket to Dover and Ferry ticket back to Dover.
Thats before my fee.
Would be cheaper finding someone local.

No I wrote about the Atlantic coast of France. Difficulties with visas.

Atlantic coast - where in the Biscay? Had a lot of my own yachts based down there, as I lived on Ile de Re. These are regular runs for me from the UK.

When you say visa difficulties, is that for the UK? You have Schengen visa - yes?

I have a delivery from northern Italy to the Red Sea at the beginning of March, then an eight week contract in the Med from April 1.

Hi Oleg, sorry if my reply seemed blasé.. and welcome to CF..
However you need to be more specific when asking for a delivery price.. just saying Dover to France to someone who charges by the day or the mile leads to an answer like mine..
Again.. West France covers a large area from Brest down to Bayonne, around 650nm max from Dover.
As my prices are mileage based a Bayonne delivery would be better liked..
Travel costs to the boat from Portugal with Easyjet/Ryanair then train, and then train fare back to Porto from Bayonne plus my fee.. likely come around €1500 minimum.
Any closer a local man would be better as short jumps of less than 750nm are not really worth the hassle of the travel to the job.
However I am grateful you considered me for the trip.. again, apologies for the brief response.
