50 ft ketch, twin headsails, extensively rebuilt over 4 years, leaving Virginia this winter for tour of Caribbean and then heading to other locations. Looking for divers, videographers, historians, all compatible crew members as completing documentaries on shipwrecks, places and affects of global warming. Not a paid position and shared expenses. Ship has new everything including engine, sails, electronics, life raft, dingy, rigging, paint etc. Two heads with hot and cold showers, AC, solar energy, wind generator, high output alt, 2 Sat phones, 2 chart plotters, AIS, radar, dive gear for 4, above and below water cameras, new fridge, hull epoxied, rudder and prop removed and rebuilt, masts removed and rebuilt. A complete hard top with opening glass windows - very dry cockpit. Male and especially female crew wanted as have few resumes for females. Experience not first priority as compatibility key. Sounds like a nice way to write off a trip to the Caribbean. I would think that if global warming was occurring (which it is not, because it is generally agreed that global surface temperatures have leveled off and there has been no increase in 15 yrs) that any effects would be minimal in the tropics. That is why they're referred to as the tropics, as you may know, because they are tropical, i.e. at nearly constant temperature. Have fun

No global warming you say? I am Canadian. Our glaciers in the west are receding at alarming rates - faster than any other time in recorded history, our permafrost under buildings up north is melting which has not done before in recorded history, there are bugs in the arctic that our First Nations do not even have words in their language to describe and lastly the global warming topic was for the trip we are doing, we hope, thru the NW Passage next spring. Yes sailing thru the NW Passage that could not have been done even 30 years ago - I wonder why all the ice is melting?

Thank you for enforcing how Canadians are well known for doing the right thing and behaving in a way for the good of all humanity. Global warming is a fact and it has made itself well known to people who have any interest in our children's future. One way to help is for more people to use the power of the wind as in sailing, instead of a gas pedal. Just watch out for severe weather.
