pirate Aruba to Panama

Sorry about the short notice but Looking for crew to leave Aruba Dec. 4th or shortly after on our 64' schooner. I will be looking for a good weather window to make the 4 - 5 day crossing, arriving in Boca de Toro or San Blas islands, Panama depending on crew arrangements and timing. Crew can stay as long as they want to enjoy Panama. Passing thru the canal in Jan. then heading north up to Mexico.

The boat and captain are very comfortable and are finishing up an 8+ year circumnavigation. Current crew had to return to Germany early to take care of family business.

Crew is expected to arrange transportation to and from the boat and pitch in small a amount for food and shore side entertainment.

Please leave a Phone # to reach you as time is short. Be patient with reply's as we are currently trying to get in as much diving here in Bonaire as we can.

Looking forward to hearing from you, Greg

Re: Aruba to Panama

Hello;

Just a few questions, what do you recommend for a transportation route for a crew to get to Aruba before Dec. 4th 2014? Are you looking for a crew from Aruba to Bocas only?

We are two crew and expats living in David Panama, an experienced Martin J-class crew racer - average navigator in PNW, and wife is an experienced culinary cook or deck hand, both speak english/spanish. We would be available for Aruba-Bocas. Thanks.

Re: Aruba to Panama

Hello;

Thanks for the reply, our cell number is #6-308-1734 (Panama) which you
can call anytime except midnight to 6am. Could you address these questions or by phone, we would need this information if we were to plan the trip and expense to get to Aruba, if you and we are comfortable with arrangements and decide to go ahead with your trip plan.

Just a few questions, what do you recommend for a transportation route for a crew to get to Aruba before Dec. 4th 2014? Are you looking for a crew from Aruba to Bocas only?

Thanks.

Re: Aruba to Panama

Marco, Eva,

go for it, you will not regret it. I and my spouse sailed with Greg the last 5 weeks and had a blast! Now sitting on the airport on Bonaire for our flight back to cold Germany :-( ...

You might want to check Insel Air (https://www.fly-inselair.com/en/). Also there are a lot of flights though Miami too.

Also you might check Welcome to Curacao International Airport - Curacao Airport Partners N.V. and Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix, Aruba International Airport to see the arrival list there. In between ABC Islands you can typically fly for US$ 100,- or less.

GO FOR IT !!!

Regards,

Carsten

Re: Aruba to Panama

We will await your call today, thanks for the info on flights to Aruba, we are willing to make flight arrangements to get there on a date certain, if we meet your expectations as a crew. We would be making a leap of faith that you will actually be there and that this is all bonafide, so a picture or two of you, ID, and your schooner inside-out would be helpful, also what equipment you require us to bring.

Please reply ASAP, thanks,

Marco y Eva

Re: Aruba to Panama

Marco, tried to call from Skype, +507-6-308-1734and +507-308-1734, neither worked. I looked up David and flight info. Looks like a bus ride to Panama City and flight to Aruba ($520us) or Curacau ($330us). Please let me know if this works or I keep looking.

I was hoping crew would stay for several weeks and enjoy the E. Panama islands. You could also stay on til we get back to where you live.

How can I reach you or call my cell +599-782-8122. Bonaire

Cheers, Greg

Re: Aruba to Panama

HI Greg;

We can make the ground transport and airfare to Aruba no problem, and the possibility of helping crew for several weeks is also possible; we initially thought you were only in need of a crew for the 4-5 day cruise from Aruba to Bocas. We are flexible. I tried calling your 599 number, no luck.

Thanks,

Marco y Eva
