SY Platypus reports further on their cruise around Australian coast including a rare opportunity to swim with and touch an 8 metre whale shark!! Fantastic photo! This is a phenominal area for swimming/diving, and not well known even inside Aus. The reef, coral bay, monkey mia, and shark bay are definitely places you should never go to (so I can enjoy them better on my own)

Swimming alongside one of these beasties is a highlight I will never forget.
But just so anyone does not do anything wrong - touching them is risky for the whale - so it is actually prohibited.
