We're headed that way this year (with a stop in Chagos
, so long as the regs still permit
it), so I've been scouting out the same sorts of info for the past month or so. I used Jimmy Cornell's World Cruising Routes to confirm that our planned route
and schedule was feasible, and then I went hunting online for accounts of recent experiences. We also have a copy of the Indian Ocean
Cruising Guide, purchased online from Landfall Navigation
, but I haven't spent any time with it yet so I can't vouch for its usefulness.
Check out the Hacking Family's website. They did a fantastic job of documenting their Indian Ocean cruise
Indian Ocean Cruising
Stolen Kiss's blog has great info on the Andaman Islands (which you didn't mention, but might want to check out) as well as some other stops in the North Indian.

I'll be blogging as we go, so if any of the rules and regs change, I'll post about it.
