Europe to Australia

Hi all, we are thinking of sailing from Greece to Australia with possible idea of going to India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Thailand and Indonesia (windward/south side. If we plan on doing this what is the safest route with the least blue water time. Also, how does one avoid the "wrong" sailing seasons? Do you have to hole up for 6 months of every year? Idea is to surf/kite surf as much as possible
