Get yourself on north as quickly as you can... at least that's what we have done in the past. Musgrave will be there when you return, and while locally revered, isn't anything special compared to what you will find on the reef proper (IMO).

Hello, I am leaving from Sydney at the end of May and heading to up to the Whitsundays. It will be my first long trip north as I haven't been past Broughton Island yet. I will have only have been sailing for a year at that point so if anyone would like to have a boat tag along on the way up please let me know. I will be bringing a skipper friend on mine and a mate with me for the sail up. Then my wife will fly in for a few months of fun.
