Re: Tropical Cyclone Sandra

Sandy straits are between Fraser Island and mainland Aus.

Meanwhile, Sandra seems to have her sights set on New Caledonia.

The US Navy has it passing south of here but the Ox BOM has us staring right down the barrel. No advisory here in New Cal as yet.

We had that waiting, wondering, sensation when TCs Evan and Garry came our way just these few months ago here in American Samoa.

Hang tough, friend. We will keep you in mind.

Thanks, I'm actually all good. Our boat is in Vila, I'm here supervising a haulout on a 33m cat from Vanuatu. Hope to be on plane home Monday evening. Been dodging bullets for the last 2 years so bound to get bitten by another cyclone before long.

Re: Tropical Cyclone Sandra

Their track agrees with the US Navy which is nice. Won't be much good heading back up to Vila in a power cat, looks like plenty NW wind on the NE side. Oh well, I'm sure my plane ride will be comfortable.
