The Journey Begins

Yipee we have started our journey after 11 years planning and preparation. I can say yipee now that the boat is almost dry and I am over the worst bout of mal de mer I ever experienced, encountered on our first leg. Hey that's what shakedown cruises are all about eh.

Really this post is all about thanking the many folk on this forum who have answered trivial, repetitive and sometimes down right dumb questions for me over the past few years. Your help and information has been truely invaluable.

Particular thanks to MarkJ and Jim Cate who are worth their weight in gold for good value ideas.

Not too sure how often I will get to internet access over the coming months but as we sustained some damage on this first trip up we will not now be clearing NZ until a bit later in month so hopefully I will be able to stay online for a bit. Any hoo once again thanks to you all for the inspiration, advice and laughs.
