We got here Fri around noon, and are going to head out tomorrow. We had great luck crabbing on the way up- dinner, crabcakes; lunch, crab dip (sooo good); tonight, crab bisque! Fossil Bay looked packed when we came in, and there are lots of boats in Echo Bay but plenty of room to anchor. Lots of room on the linear moorage and some buoys also...

You all have fun next week, wish we could stay and meet you all!

Remember no crabing yet in area 7. I wouldn't want you to get nailed by the local F and G.

Sorry Geo- I just read the "new" post and it sounded like you were crabbing in the SJ's. My bad.

F&J,
Actually for Echo Bay that was not a lot of boats. Ever since the price of fuel went up, the number of boats in Echo Bay have gone down on holiday weekends.

BTY, thanks for the crabs. We made an omelet with onions, garlic, sun dried tomatoes, and the crab on top. Was really good. The other we added to our fish tacos along with halibut, goat cheese, burnt peppers, onions, sun dried tomatoes, and hot green salsa.

Did some more hiking on Sunday after you guys left, but Karen slept much of the day!!!

Currently scheduled to go up this coming weekend again.

Flexible Flyer with Janet and Steve (and two cats) is leaving our dock in a couple of hours.

Our waterline is almost 2 inches lower after provisioning for a month.
We're even bringing a full size sewing machine. Yowza !

Garrison, first day and possibly one more before Sucia.
See you guys soon!

I'll be arriving Sun afternoon. I'll be sailing my dark blue San Juan 24 named Azul, usually the smallest boat in the morage. Looking forward to getting together and sharing some "exaggerated accounts" of our sailing adventures etc. The weather is shaping up to be most excellent.

Actually too good! It's now after the 4th. The N. Pacific has calmed down and were going to have a hot spell with little to no wind for the next few days, from what I see in the forecasts. Bring the swim wear and sunscreen.

Good time for me to finish breaking in the new motor.

Del,

We've got about 8 to 10 out of the NW here (3 miles North of Bush Pt.) and I expect it to hold all day.
When Seattle gets hot, the air rises and it gets filled from here.

Not me, but we just now anchored in Garrison Bay. If you're nearby, say Hi.
We'll be here a couple of days.

Yeah! Apparently, the forecast I got was bogus. When I got down to the marina the wind was howling thru my halyards. I should have been out sailing today! So, much for weather reports.

I went out sailing yesterday afternoon. It was 88 deg. at my house. Perfect conditions on the water. It doesn't get much better than this around here. Hope it holds until Sun.-Mon.
