Repair Facility in Singapore/ Johor Baru Area

Hi, Good day. I'm new to the forum and I just acquired a beneteau 351 that needs some inspection/repair. Does any one know and would recommend a repair facility somewhere in the singapore / JB area which is reasonable, cost wise, but does the job does the same. Recommendations and in puts highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard!
I can't exactly answer your question but I know for a fact you can scratch Singapore from your list. I'm getting my motor boat repaired at the moment and the prices I'm being charged are out of this world. A friend had his beneteau refurbished in Malaysia somewhere up the east coast from Singapore. Good luck

Just been for a few beers with some yachties and Raffles marina sounds like the cheapest spot in Singapore. We def try Malaysia first tho!

Raffles are doing a great job on an Athena 38 at the moment. Jeff Leng, the yard manager is a wise old bird.

But - It aint cheap! tony

I am with the others. If you must have work done prior to moving you could try the yard at punggol marina. They do mostly power boats but also have done sail. I dont have a contact for you but you could call the yard. Get the boat mobile and head to langkawi or phuket for cheaper prices if you need significant amounts of work done.

Hi ex-calif,
just got in touch with punggol and they are fully booked upto Feb, I need to have it done asap becuase of my tight sked. I was referred to a yard in JB which is about an hour from punggol, hopefully a bit cheaper and myt be able to accommodate me. fingers crossed.
Thanks Lah!. looking forward to getting some valuable tips from you.

I have heard of the yard in JB nut have not been there. Is this the one up the Johor river somewhere or am I mistaken?

Technically JB is north of Singapore. The Johore River is northeast of singapore and southeast of JB.

Any reviews on Dalac?

4) To clean & ensure 5 through hulls are free moving without remove : Free of Charge

5) Remove and install zinc at bow thruster per piece : RM 20.00

6) Labour cost for painting per coat : RM 145.00

7) Overday per feet : RM 2.00

8) Antifouling
a) Normal Antifouling - IP 895 per liter : RM 68.00
b) High Quality Antifouling - International Micron Extra 2.5 ltrs : RM 607.00
*Note: You may bring your own antifouling.
