It was fine Thursday at the marina on Hayden Island except for high water
and floating debris.
It's been interesting up on Mt Hood
with power outages. The freezing level is above 3000 ft, I'm sitting at 2400 and the saturated soil is not only prone to landslides, but earlier in the week trees were falling on cabins and over Highway 26 above Rhody. One tree landed on a car in front of me Monday evening. The wind
let up and the ZigZag River is down considerably from earlier in the week. It's still raining steadily and the National Weather Service
issued an extreme winter weather alert for today (Saturday) through Sunday.
