Nz to London without a plane! Akl to bris

Can any one help us get from Auckland to Brisbane?

Me and my partner are looking to start a journey from auckland to London without the use of a plane. Departing around the start of February 2013.

Our first difficulty is getting from Auckland to Australia (preferably Brisbane as we intend to do the east coast, south coast and west coast surfing before going through to indo).
I have minimal experience sailing but my partner has grown up with sailing. We are happy to work/make payment or both.
Will be free labour to team up with experienced sailors for boat deliveries.
