Fueling Locations

looking at traveling from california to hawaii then to australia via a power yacht... I'm looking for info sources on the net for such things as fueling stations..this info is to determine the fuel I would need to carry to survive from station to station...marina to marina...etc...this trip wont start for at least 2 yrs...but Im looking at buying a boat to be built....looking at pedagree cats atm..they good?

I guess what Im asking is..with fuel only what would be the longest distance from any location to another that I might have to travrel before being able to refuel

"marina to marina" ... you're in for a surprise. Not very many marinas between Hawaii and Oz, like about zero. But diesel is generally available in small places. I think Noonsite.com may be the only/best resource.

Not true! There's a fuel dock on Nuku Hiva and there are 2 on Tahiti, 3 if you count the Papetee town quay too. I seem to recall there's one in Raitea too. There's also a town dock on Rarotonga, and a fuelling station if I remember correctly. Va'vau in Tonga has a marina of sorts - not like you could keep any boats there, but I'm fairly sure there's a fuel dock. There are 'plenty' of marinas/fuel docks in various states of repair in Fiji.

The distance between Los Angeles, California and Honolulu, Hawaii is about 2200nm, and between San Francisco, California and Waikiki, Hawaii is 2100.
Tonga to New Zealand is 1,100, and Rarotonga to Tonga is 800.

There are marinas in Denmark too, but the OP was asking about a trip from Hawaii to Australia, presumably westward. Tahiti is hardly along the way. I did forget that Fiji is in there and would work for the trip as it is reasonably close to the direct route.

Silly me. Assumed he wanted to stop at some places along the way. The milk run takes you through all those places. Are you suggesting avoiding all the islands between Cal and Oz?

No silly, just that Tahiti is EAST of Hawaii by a good distance. OP wrote 'between" not "wandering", Otherwise, good point.

The longest distance between fuel docks is California - Hawaii, roughly 2200 NM.

Very few motor boats can make it.
