Crescent City? San Francisco?

You can get in to SF in any weather. It is a good idea to stick to the cntre of the Gate. The sides can get a little lumpy.

Port San Luis
Monterey (all weather harbor of refuge)
Half Moon Bay

...there's more. You'd want to move fast down the coast. Which with some boats and crews is just not possible. That's one advantage of delivery skippers, they know how to keep moving: one hour fuel stops.

(might need a captain to move it) Anyway I would appreciate any feedback on how to best accomplish my mission here.

Re: From Seattle to Hawaii in December?

I have sailed to Hawaii four times, 2 from san diego 1 from Costa Rica 1 from mexeco.
it is a great trip in the spring and early summer but December, forget it. Wait till May and take leave, you should make it in 18 to 25 days.

Costa Rica to Hawaii

I left Costa Rica in March in a 29 ft boat. I had a torn main sail and a not so clean bottom. Winds were from 5 to 35 kts.(2 days 0 kts.) it took me 52 days @4800 miles. bring lots of water.
