Deep Sea Boat Transport

Other than Dockwise and Sevenstar does anyone know of another deep sea boat transport for a 35' monohull?
Since my PNW departure to Panama is postponed till early November my alternatives would be to wait till next year or to use a yacht transport service.
I know that there are services that use Vancouver BC as a port of call but I am unable to track them down.
Any help (other than suggestions to sail) is appreciated.

Re: Deep Sea Boat Transport

Hi, don't know if its any help bu,t I moved my boat (40' 14Ton) from UK to Singapore on a Ro-Ro boat, Nippion Lines and others are delivering Car's, Trucks, Construction equipment all around the world, you can rent a low trailer from the shipping line, but you will need to buy / get made stands to fit your boat /trailer.. the biggest problem will be your total height on the trailer to get inside their loading doors.
When checking prices do remember the originator shipper will only quote for getting on board and getting to port of choice, then, you will have to find a local shipper to get your boat out of that port.

Re: Deep Sea Boat Transport

May I suggest trucking it to San Diego? Could be cheaper, more competitive, and you might sail from SD to Mexico with the Haha?

Re: Deep Sea Boat Transport

With a cradle you can ship it on a typical marine freight transport. The length needs to be under.... a certain length....not sure. The mast would likely be the longest piece. My friends shipped their boat from OZ to the PNW and it was a 43 ft boat. They had a cradle built. I looked at those marine transports that pick you up out of the water once, but it seemed pretty expensive rather than saving money over trucking... If I remember right..
