Clearing Taiwan Customs at Chinmen, Quemoy, Crossing to Pescador Island

... The island in question is also called "Amboy" on some maps, and it is administered by Taiwan, just off the coast of the People's Republic. Hoping to come up from HK, to the island, clear customs there, and head across the straights to Pesacador Island, then Tainan, Kaoshung.

The boat I will have is trailerable, so another option is to trailer it up from Macau to Xiamen, and cross there. Anyone familiar at all with this route or such options?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Clarifications on My Question Above ...

Apparently I was mistaken above, and "Amboy" refers to Xiamen, which is actually on the Chinese mainland, a main city of the PRC.

Quemoy is lately known as Chinmen or Kinmen or Jinmen, depending on how it is spelled and/or pronounced. It consists of a number of islands only a mile or so off Xiamen. The islands are administered by Taiwan, but are not listed as a point of entry for Taiwan, though numerous Taiwanese visit regularly.

I will be coming up from HK, and would need to stop at either Kinmen or Xiamen before transiting across the straights to Pesacador Island, then Tainan and Kaoshiung. If not able to clear customs at Kinmen, perhaps I could simply make an "emergency" stop for food, fuel, etc?
