China to Panama

Good Afternoon Cruisers,

I am looking for advise on a possible trip from China to Panama. The information I have found at the moment recommends heading on a Northern route up to Japan to about 40-45n then a cross then down the US west coast.
Any advice on this topic would be most helpful

Kind regards

Paul

Tough trip. Really tough.

I am a little intrigued at the lack of info in your post. I take it that you are having a boat built there.

Consider shipping it at least to California.

Re: China to Panama

It does appear to be a tough trip, for instance today, starting out would be OK, but the north pacific is a bit stormy

Re: China to Panama

If you're sailing the northern route is probably the best option but that far north you do risk storms, even in the summer.

If you have the range and can motor, the direct route along the ITCZ would be an option.

A lot also depends on your goals; take your time and see the sights or get there as quickly as possible?

Based on the OP's username, I suspect that this is the actual boat
