I am not the op.However I am going to make the trip over the 4th. Any advice is welcome.
Last August I left Everett, Wa. the first night out from Port Townsend - Port Angles was nose on to the wind
w/ 12-14' wind
waves. pretty rough trip. Would not make that particular part of the trip at night again. next day made it to Neah Bay, smooth trip, spent the night to get rest. On down the west coast
of Washington was a nice trip. Be careful on crossing the bar at Columbia River [ known as the bar of broken dreams] Call Coast Gaurd for bar conditions. Try to cross at slack tide to avoid rough conditions and heavy current
. I will be at Warrenton, or. dock
H 25. seven miles up river. If you have time to stop for the night, we will be having a BBQ as in every night till we head
south. If you stop I'll give you my cell #, please let us know. also have tide tables & could give tide times by phone
when you are close.. Will you have crew?...Michael..
