Would love to!

I wish I could say I was planning that... though I think I'd be heading to Hawai'i rather than Baja.

We've been working towards this trip for a while. Have a survey on a possible boat tomorrow, if all goes well, bring her home over thankgiving weekend.
We will will be going for about 4 months, then heading home for a bit. Don't know exacty how things will go, but excited about the possibilities!

We're still planning to head south. I have the little chat with the boss tomorrow to see if there is any problem if I work "remotely" for a year. That's the last major obstacle before we pull the trigger. Wish me well.

Will be in Hawaii also,on the return journey.Baja is much better cruising than Hawaii, many more places to anchor and soak up the sun.

ARe you familiar with Bluewater Cruising Association? Here is the website: Bluewater Cruising Association, Vancouver, BC, Canada. They are based in Vancouver, have gatherings and events to share info with each other. I believe they also have a publication - can't remember if it is monthly, or quarterly. Good luck.

I plan to head out after the Lats & Atts 09 party in Bremerton. I have been posting on FINDACREW dot COM for crew. As is, I will meet up with the Baja Ha HA for the 09-10 run. I am not a partier, but like to travel in Flotilla for company, security and knowlege.

Hawaii is definitely the route home from Mex.,I wouldnt even consider trying to sail up coast.I will be in Coronado waiting to move south at end of Oct.Having already done this loop many years ago,am aware of the pitfalls of both.I am not counting on relying on crew, although would enjoy suitable company.I plan to go as far south as Manzanilla.I want to go to Marqueses, but due to economy not sure at this time if I will do that leg of trip.I feel the same about the partying and security factor, the reason I started this thread.

We are one step closer to leaving THIS fall! THIS year; (sounds so good to say that) We are the proud new owners of a 32 Fuji Ketch!!

Regarding the Haha, we sailed just ahead of the '07 Bajahaha and it looked like there was something for everyone, such a good sized group you can always find a group you are comfortable in.

Cyndi:

Congrats on your new purchase. Good luck getting her refit and ready to go. I hope to do the Baja Ha Ha in '09. In fact I wanted to do it in '08 but things got too crazy and I couldn't get everything I wanted done on the boat. Boat is currently in SD but am going to bring her up North (closer to home ) to work thru all the items that I want to get fixed.
