Youtube Sailing Series

I thought I would post a list of the Youtube sailing series I have been enjoying lately. Some of them have probably been posted here before, but I thought I would start a thread to list all the series.

Please add any series or videos that you enjoy.

1. Drake Paragon. He's a little wordy, but I love his videos. He just begun a new series about his trip up the east coast, then up to Greenland and Iceland (where he wintered).
https://www.youtube.com/user/drakeParagon/videos

2. Shaun Sailing. A 20-something is following his dream of sailing. He volunteers as crew on a few boats. One goes from Florida to the south pacific islands with a inexperience family. Awesome to watch how they learn and gain experience.
https://www.youtube.com/user/donjobs/videos

3. Cruising LeaLea. A series of a couple that sails from San Francisco to Hawaii and then up to Alaska on a Albin Vega 27. They are a little dorky, but its part of their charm.
https://www.youtube.com/user/vega1860/videos

4. Teleport. A young Australian couple buys a small junk rigged boat in eastern Canada and decides to sail it home. VIA THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE. Seriously.
https://www.youtube.com/user/wwwYachtTeleportCom/videos

5. Untie the lines. A young (and cute) german girl buys an aluminum boat in Panama to follow her dreams. Unfortunately the boat needs more work then she originally thought.

Re: Youtube sailing series

Thanks for these! I've been following Drake Paragon and Untie The Lines, the others are new to me.

I'll add a few:

Pure Ocean.tv:

These guys have made two documentaries of separate trips the Bahamas, and are currently out there making their third. Not a web series, but good nonetheless. The first video is part 1 of 7 of their first trip, the second is the full-length documentary of their second trip. Their current trip is a bit different as they have spent some time refitting the boat for an electric engine:

More Hands on Deck:

These guys started out on a friends boat sailing from California to Mexico. Once in Mexico they split up, and the two guys bought an old beater boat in La Paz. They are now trying to get her seaworthy to continue their adventure:

another:

S/V Delios. A well made series of a group of young people cruising the world, currently in Indonesia. The videos are well done and interesting.

Re: Youtube Sailing Series

Been following Drake's Paragon videos for a few years. His solo trip from New York to Bermuda is a classic lesson of how fast things can go downhill and how the road sail to hell is paved with good intentions. I like to watch his videos on my chrome book over the winter while on my exercise bike to keep my water jones at bay in the off season.

Agree the other series I like is the gal in Untie the Lines . I enjoyed watching as she discovered what buying the boat, maintaining it and following "the dream" really entails. A good primer for others to watch before they jump to purchase a boat to follow the dream. She is a trooper though and admire her gumption.

Agree I enjoyed watching those videos with the rigger too and I have an unstayed mast.

Re: Youtube Sailing Series

Here's another recommendation for SV Delos, not much sailing but the videos are well done and they do a good job of selling the dream.
