yet another cyclone

Another cyclone is ripping through our pacific islands at present. They have been coming one after the other this year. Almost one a week. So far none have high tailed it down onto NZ. They all have passed to the South East of us. But I wonder if this means a busy storm season ahead for you guy's up on the top side of the world.

Pacific NW

Right now we are have Arizona winters. Sunny and warm in the days and frost at night. It's been a long time since I've seen this here.. I cut my grass, or should I say moss, yesterday. The first time ever in February.

It hasn't rained in three weeks (very unusual). While "It never rains in California" has been having floods and mud slides everywhere, and the snow pack is deep. Their lakes are full for the first time since the 70's.

A lot of people had a real bad, long lasting, cold this winter including myself. It's defiantly a strange season this year. I'm wondering what this summer (here) is going to be like.

We're going to fry!!

Well funny you should mention Summer. Our's was dimall and actually colder than normal. Infact, where I live, we had snow around our hills in late december. Some ski feilds in NZ actually opened for Xmass. Our two massive Glaciers that have been receeding dramaticaly over the years, are on major moves forward at the mo. 2m forward per day. This has been due to large winter falls of snow up on the mountain for last couple of years. Our surrounding sea temp is cooler than normal. I haven't gone for a dip at all this summer. It has been too cold for this warm blooded fellow. So we are kinda wondering what happend to the global warming part. Somebody had better through a couple more shoval fulls of coal on the Sun and stoke her up a bit.

Hope you weathered the cyclone Ok. It is March, and the sun is getting stronger, however it is still winter. Hard water out there in the bay.
We surely are looking forward to spring, and being able to sail again.
So far we have been warm enough, and not felt crowded during our first winter aboard.
Cheers
