Yacht shipping fraud

Has anyone had any experience of shipping with Ocean Trade Lines or Yacht Export from Fort Lauderdale. We were scheduled to ship our sail boat with them from Fort Lauderdale to Uk in June, we have paid our money but since then they have nothing but lie to use, ignore our emails and phone calls.
We have since discovered some horrific reviews on the internet, has anyone successfully shipped with this company or got their money back.
Desperate for help please.

Go to a lawyer! Seriously, the longer you leave it the worse it will be! Take your contract with you. You will get better advice than on a forum.

Lawyer! A real one, not an internet "lawyer." And quickly.

Re: Yacht shipping fraud

As has been noted, you should probably contact an attorney.

Have you tried contacting Alon Ezra, President of Global Relogistics, Inc. dba Yacht Exports 954.332.7850 ?

Excerpted from the RipOffReport website
Ripoff Report | Yacht Exports Complaint Review Davie, Florida: 960297

“I can absolutely, positively, attest to the fact that Ocean Trade Lines operates a scam operation. I had to sue them to get them to perform under their onerous contract. They kept 30% of my money for doing nothing. If you are stuck by them I recommend a law firm in Ft. Lauderdale Hill Betts, Sharla Manglitz. She represented me and put the pressure to them. If you don't believe me, call Sharla at the law firm or Andrew Hill the principal lawyer and let them tell you all about OTL. They also represent other clients who have had the same experience with OTL ...”

Re: Yacht shipping fraud

You have to be so careful, even the biggest rock solid reputation companies succumb to incompetance and corruption. Commonwealth bank in Australia perpetrated schemes that cheated thousands of investers of life saving. That involved forging signatures, falsifying documents, lying. The normal stuff that happens in American financial circles. Dispite having a profit last year of 6 or 7 billion, the company has been thwarting attempts of recouping compensation. Like the pedophelia rampant in churches and other instiutions, the dirt was swept under the carpet till someone noticed and blew the whistle.

Re: Yacht shipping fraud

It was some of the bank's financial advisors not the bank itself. They, the bank, have handled it badly however after the whistle was blown. I have been with them for several decades and never had a problem with them.

Coops.

Re: Yacht shipping fraud

Gee Coops the bank financial advisers are the bank. They get paid by the bank, are 'regulated' by the bank. At best the upper bank executives were gossly incompetant, but I dont believe that story. They have enough brains and organization to make 6 or 7 billion profit and the corruption was part of that 'success'
