Angry Why So Close ?

A Rant:

Twice this week a boat has come up way to close and tossed in a hook. I'm the only boat anchored for over a mile of good water!

I usually anchor by myself or at least out of earshot if at all possible. Im a liveaboard with two excitable kids, a dog and a genarator on deck. it's only polite no?

But,, These peoples rudeness is un-beliveable! I mean this guys like fifteen feet from me and the rivers a mile and a third wide! @#$%@??? So, I stop and nicely ask the guy "Why so close" he says, "We're apart, not touching" then forgets how to speak english.
LOAD DOG POOP
I think a little X-mas present might be in order here as long as its an easy doggy poop toss

Does canada have such crappy anchorages that they are used to being intimently close or is it just stereotypical rudeness?

Take the muffler off of your generator. Encourage the dogs to bark. Give the kids some strong coffee with a 1/2 cup of sugar in it. They will move.

How to get them out...

In Greece, summertime, it is quite common to have neighbours anchored close. But sometime it is really too close - unnecessary.
We have a solution, but it works only, when the crew on another boat is mixed genders...
My Admiral goes sunbathing - in Her birthsuit.
She looks fantastic in all Her glory...
I'm happy man - my Admiral is really beautiful...
Normally She take few moments to establish an eye contact with a guy on another boat and to send him some smiles.
After few minutes an admiral on another boat start a rant with her flag captain...
Next few minutes - and they are involved in reanchoring procedure... Even leaving the anchorage sometime...

Trying to figure out what a pepole is. Must be a stick where a dog relieves himself when there;s no tree available.

Bad stereotyping, real conch can spell...

That's odd. Usually Quebecers are always trying to seperate.

...and some friend requests.

Bottom line is that if I ever enter a cove where an Ocean Star 56 is flying a Polish ensign, I'll be anchoring as close as I can safely get.

I consider such moments to be the perfect time to catch up on overdue maintenance that requires my angle grinder. It's amazing how many uses there are for short lengths of retired anchor chain.
