Kira from Xanadu, as played by Olivia Newton John. As she is the Terpsichorean muse, she'd be handy to have around as my Ukulele playing would improve no end.

The white dress for grinding winches, and the gold one for special occasions.

Re: Who'd Be Your Ideal Sailing Companion ?

In total contradiction to my original post, the ONLY ideal sailing companion for me is my wife... Ooooh ouch. No I'm not being forced to say this, ouch ouch. But it is true nonetheless. Ouch...

Joshua Slocum's brain in Jessica Biel's body?

Hang on, I see a problem with that...maybe old Josh would never leave his bunk. Still, here's a picture of the woman in question at the helm:

"You know what it's like. The guy sitting next to me could have actually looked at the map instead of guessing where we were. I tell him "look, you are here for more than ballast, start doing something useful", he just stares at me and then I realize he traded the map at the last gas station for a bottle of Coke and a bobble hula girl to put on the dashboard. SHEESSHH - guys"
