I have a couple of Perco interior cabin
kerosene lamps. They are small, wall gimbal mounted and take a chimney that measures 1 7/8" OD at the base, and are 5" tall.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement chimney?
On the net I found a 1 7/8" by 10" "English student lamp" chimney, but I am concerned the extra height will tip the lamp when the oil
reservoir is low, or bang on the bulkhead in a seaway. Does anybody have experience with these chimneys?
Yes, I have LEDs for normal lighting
, but I like an oil
light to burn citronella oil when the bugs are bad, and my trusty Perco kerosene anchor
light uses that 5" chimney too. That has never failed me. Also, I have only solar
Please spare me any lectures on kerosene being antiques. I am antique too, but still quite serviceable. Plus, I just like those lamps, and the warm glow they give in the cabin
Thanks in advance for any help you may give.
