What's missing in this photo? And why?

I came across this photo of the few odd charter boats in Yalta harbor, Crimea. I immediately noticed something awry. Anybody else? Or am I mistaken? If intentional, how do they sail without eventual mishap?

I see what you mean, with a missing photo I don't know how anyone knows what's going on.

Second two boats appear to be missing both their starboard spreaders. Optical illusion or could just be I need glasses. ))

Re: What's missing in this photo? And why?

If you mean there are no passarales, and so how do they board the boat, I guess they just take a running leap!

Or maybe they keep them on the dock...

Overheard...

"It takes just one step to board the boat crew….

(SPLASH! )

"..but it is a long one! "

Spreaders are swept back and starboard ones blend with mast due to photos angle towards the boats

Re: What's missing in this photo? And why?

What is happening here is quite simple to explain.... under communism the Russians used to lean to the left.... now they lean to the right..... so they only need spreaders on the port side...
