As a former stinkpotter, I never realised how much exhaust I was leaving behind. Or why those ragtops would be aimlessly wandering in circles, as I blew by them on my way from the marina to the fuel dock, and back.
Now after I got "better", I've found it is quite entertaining to try different points of sail just to see how my sail trim behaves under different wind speeds, and directions.
IT is quite nice to not have to take the quickest and most direct route to save on fuel.

My sailboat when the wind comes from the port side when motering,meant to change the exhaust to the stern O.well maybe next year
