Glad it worked out. Sadly most people will say nothing. Had a charterer take a boat to Baltimore and hit several boats while docking. When returning several days later he was asked if all was well. He said "No problems". Fortunatly the Marina had sent us the video feed from the security camera. Bad form!

When it comes to owning up for your actions- sooner better than later and certainly better than not at all. Shoot- I had my music on at the dock and forgot to turn it off before going out for dinner. Got back to the boat late (midnightish) and could clearly hear the noise on the dock as I walked back to my boat. My neighbor was here that night. Spending the night on his boat! Oh CRAP! Made it a point to see him first thing the next morning and profusely appologize. Be a gentleman and own up if its the last thing you do. My neighbor was very understanding so the worst thing I had to get over was my own embarassment. But damaging someones property- ouch..
