Here's the difficulties of asking this kind of question.

You're limited to the people reading this forum. Guess the guys who never use their boats don't read it either.

...who are NOT reading it using the mobile app which doesn't support polls.

I used to race a lot when I lived in the States, but most cruising venues just dont have much racing activity (at least not here in the W Carib). Occassionally in Belize. An annual regatta on the Rio Dulce for the past few years. Various rallies, like the ARC, blow thru Panama. Otherwise not much.

Are there other cruising venues outside the USA that also have racing activity?

Re: What Percentage of Sailboat Owners are Racers? (poll)

So if you are not a racer, then you are a cruiser? What about the people that predominately daysail their boat - is that a cruiser?

I raced the two Corsair tri's I owned previous to this boat for eleven years, and a small percentage of the time with those boats, we daysailed.

The Seawind is predominately day-sailed, sometime bay races and long distance offshore races. Next year 3-4 months aboard planned to finally cruise thru Florida and Bahamas.
