What do you get up to at anchor?
It's amazing how the time can just disappear when sitting on the hook, sometime i look at all the other boats and wonder just what other people get up to while sitting at anchor?

Re: What do you get up to at anchor?
If we're not fiddling with something on the boat like trying out some new shade arrangement of cleaning up something, sanding something or just lookin' around, we read, lie out in the sun, eat, drink, sleep, skinny dip, whatever comes to mind. Love anchoring out.

Rippling water is mesmerizing. Can sit for hours with a glass of wine watching the water.

Tinker with the boat, cook, eat, drink, smoke, go ashore for supplies during the day... out to party some nights and.... if I'm lucky... make love...
Oh... nearly forgot, dinghy rides, swimming, sunbathing... making love..
I was lucky.. I met a blind lady...

Re: What do you get up to at anchor?
If I'm on task cruising by and just stoping for the night, then I'm checking my gear and engines fluids, etc,- then eating and reading before bed. If I'm anchor where I might remain for a week or a few months, then I'm doing everything...... provisioning, kayaking, land touring, bcycling, reading, on the internet.....

Nearly always put on mask and snorkel and fins, jumping in and recon the area, preferably with pole spear or speargun in hand. Several times a day if possible, even in Maine. . . .

Re: What do you get up to at anchor?
I mostly dream. Perhaps an odd boat job will get done too.
Swimming about the boat, cooking, swimming, reading, writing, planning next passage ...
But otherwise mostly dreaming.
