West Palm to Freeport Dec. 20

Planning on crossing in a 30' Santana from WPB to west end/freeport.

If anyone else is leaving similar timeframe, would love to meet up and cross stream together.

Also, any suggestions on a good/cheap marina to stay at?

Re: West Palm to Freeport Dec. 20

Old Bahama Bay is the only marina I know of in West End with transient slips, but it's not cheap (I stayed there in 2007). There's some question as to whether it closed its doors yesterday (see my article)...but I'll be following up on that.
Freeport/Lucaya marinas are nice, close to restaurants/bars, and I think that Ocean Reef would be the least expensive (it at least used to be $1.25/ft.). I've stayed only at Port Lucaya, which is probably the most expensive of the bunch (the others were booked up). Nice though, and had a free water taxi to the restaurant/bar area (which is really just a fake cruise ship "town").

Showing 20 Kn on the nose for Dec. 20. Might rethink your departure date.

I posted an update to the Old Bahama Bay story...they issued a press release that they are not closed or closing. Waterway Cruising Guide | Cruising Guide News
