Went and Did It Yesterday

Bought a Westerly Centaur from a fella down below Annapolis. Had such a great weather window yesterday, decided to go get it . 11hrs later she sits snug in a slip til the Georgetown boys get back to work on the 5th.

She sailed great, had fun. When the sun went down and it being New Years, definitely got a case of "gotta get there", had a wife and two little ones to wish happy new years to.
Overall though, a great trip. I know I used muscles I hadnt in awhile...feels good.

Included a few pics from the trip. The one wing on wing was suppose to be the SkipJack/Georgetown lights. Forgot the flash was on auto. Talk about ruining your night vision!!

Nice one mate...
Owned the big sister.. a Longbow... back in the 90's..
They may look a bit VW Camper van topsides but Laurient Giles sure put a sweet bottom on her... sailed beautifully.
Why is it one can never stop regreting selling some boats...
and I've had some nice boats since..

Congrats - nothing like squeezing in one more sail of the year!

Congratulations! Did you see the review of the Westerly Pageant in Small Craft Advisor this month? The Pageant and Centaur look very similar to me.

I think you have to get yourself issue no. 73 somehow, or just subscribe! It's my favourite sailing magazine.

Re: Went and Did It Yesterday.

Man, forgot about one thing about sailing. Ever since I got in, I can't wait to go back out!
