I hear 55 is the new 35. At least I hope so - I am just shy of 60 - the Admiral and I have been sailing together for decades but will be shedding our former wage slave garb soon. Our kid is off in the USMC so his time belongs to the corps.

Ah yes the good "old" Navy. Thanks for your service and congratulations on your new found sailing vessel. That is a good choice.
You'll never regret getting out sailing early as possible. If you haven't sailed much then take some courses. I think they are well worth it.
