Want to crew on deliveries??

I posted this site in the Crew Needed section as well, but since there are so few posts in there, I thought more folks might see it in here that could use it.



St. Barts Yachts is a dealer/broker in Charleston, SC and jax, FL. They are also the delivery company for Beneteau Sailboats to the Moorings in the Caribbean. They have contacted me several times via email to see if I wa interested in various deliveries. However, my current schedule does not allow me to do this. I believe they deliver most boats during the hurricane season, and therefore your schedule needs to be somewhat flexible as the trips may take longer than expected. I don't know what the pay is, but I do know they fly you back home at the end of the delivery.

I checked out that link, somewhat interested. However they list the details of the deal and there is no pay for first or second mates, just travel expenses paid for and provisioning for the trip. If your real desperate they will allow you to be third mate, but they wont pay for anything.

I guess if you really want some hours and experience, it might be a good deal. IMHO, not getting paid to deliver a charter boat (beneteau, jeanneau) during hurricane season across the stream or further just doesnt sound appealing.
