A decade or so ago, we bought a pair of
kids radio headsets from our favorite
marine supply house -- Toys R Us -- for about twenty bucks. We use them a lot:
anchoring or picking up a
mooring, or while up the
mast for
maintenance or
coral observaton, and have found them to be really useful. But despite their immaculate pedigree, our "intergalactic communicators" are beginning to fail us, and we would like to replace them. They've gone out of favor with
kids I guess, 'cause the toy folks don't seem to stock them any more...
We seem to remember seeing a unit that had a belt mounted
battery and
electronics pack and an In the ear speaker and bone conduction mike combo, but have no idea who the vendor was. Do any of you know of a source for such items, or have alternative suggestions?
Thanks for your help.
