THe "Smart Priates" are sitting back on the mainland and frankly, don't give a damn. Drones are a dime a dozen. For the methodology of deterrance to work, one needs at least one tell the story.

Re: Video - Russians Capture Somali Pirate Ship

Come on, this is ancient history. It happened last summer. Look at the comments on the bottom of the vid and the comments on the bottom of the post about the Russians blowing up the ship with pirates aboard. Dated June of 2010.

As for there being an organization, there is. Rich people are investing in pirate crews, and the drones get paid between $500 and $3000 each depending on their position in the crew. The ransoms end up in the hands of the investors, and the return is huge. All the baloney about it being for the locals is a joke. The only money the locals see is by supporting the pirates in terms of food, quat and women.

There is some Somali teen in custody in Germany. His story is a real tear jerker. His defence lawyers and the court are buying right into it. If I can find the link I'll post the Spiegle article.

Re: Video - Russians Capture Somali Pirate Ship

The caption says capture of pirates by Russian vessel "Adm Panteleeb", It says that it is real. The BPK are Large Anti-Sub ships.

With the guy on the deck bleeding they are calling for a doctor.

Looking over the weapons they note that they were NOT Russian AK47.

At night they are taking an inventory of all the guns and things taken.

They were sorting the people by national origin.

When they blow up the pirate ship they were making fun of the small boat crew who put explosives on it (you can see the boat inthe video) - What that is all? Then when the second explosion went (and boy did it go) that said that this is better.

They did note these were the same pirates who were attacking a Russian freighter a few days earlier.

There is more but that is the gist of it.

Regards, Ethan
