Vacuum pack bags for clothes/blankets

Any suggestions on where I can find quality ones? The father of a friend of mine growing up had some that were really heavy duty and had a plastic fitting for a vacuum hose on them... The only similar thing I could find this past weekend was at the "As Seen on TV" store and they were of super low quality- semi disposable.

I would like something that I can seal guest blankets, winter clothes, and maybe some spare towels in. Something water retardant and that will let me really condense the stuff...

What tactic do you guys use for this sort of storage?

thanks,
JDL

I think the Admiral bought ours on line, but our Walmart has a good selection.

Various methods

There are a couple versions of this that I've seen at camping gear and at travel stores. One version involves "rolling" the bagged goods to force out the air, the other uses a standard home vacuum cleaner. The latter appear to use more robust bags, fittings, and are often marketed for long-term storage of clothing, blankets, etc. I hate to even mention it, but there's a Wikihow article related to this... Home Depot carries them.
